SLSBC 2025 Summer Recap

Sakinaw Lake Ski & Board Club thank all of our members for making the summer of 2025 one to remember! We have set up a new WhatsApp group and invites have been sent to all members so check your WhatsApp and join there for the latest updates! This season was nothing short of incredible:
We kicked things off with an afternoon social BBQ at Steve and Selina’s – awesome food in an even more awesome setting.
We had record breaking participation in our annual ski competitions -more kids than ever hit the water! Here are the competition results:

Boardroom Demo Days brought excitement and energy to the lake with great coaching and community fun. Thank you Boardroom! Remember that members receive 20% off everything at the Boardroom so make sure to take advantage of it!
Two floating concerts kept Sakinaw rocking all summer long!

Three spirited pickleball tournaments proved that SLSBC competition thrives both on and off the water!



Our community dock refresh is well underwy – setting us up for years of safe fun on the lake.
The SLSBC spirit is stronger than ever – thank you for making this summer truly spectacular!
BY THE NUMBERS:
- Memberships: 62 this year vs 50 last year, including record breaking family memberships
- Total Revenue: $28,000 this year vs $8,000 last year
- Cash Balance: $28,000 this year vs $14,000 last year – a strong start for our dock refresh fund
Community Support and Fundraising: A special thank-you to the SLSA and SLSC for helping spread the word on dock donations. With your support, plus the hugely successful gin fundraiser, we raised $13,750 in donations and gin sales.
We also sold 6X more merchandise this year compared to last year – thanks to Val and Harry for leading the charge! The hoodies were a massive hit!
Looking ahead: We are already cooking up big plans for an epic summer 2026. More events, more community, and more unforgettable memories on the lake. A huge shout out to the SLSBC executive team and all of our volunteers who made 2025 possible. None of this happens without your dedication and energy!
