The Youth Mentorship Program is a new opportunity for youth to become actively involved in the events, traditions, and community initiatives that make our waterfront community truly special.
This program is designed to inspire the next generation of leaders by providing hands-on experiences, mentorship opportunities, and meaningful ways for youth to contribute to the community they call home.
Participants will gain valuable real-world experience while developing leadership skills, teamwork, communication, responsibility, and confidence. Through involvement in community events, safety initiatives, maintenance projects, and special programs, youth will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced community members and play an important role in supporting the continued success of our community.
Program Opportunities Include:
* Fire department and emergency services demonstrations
* Annual Community BBQ support and event operations
* Tournament day setup and support
* Concert setup and takedown
* Boardroom Demo Day volunteer opportunities
* Community swag distribution
* Welcome packages for new families
* Ski dock and ski course maintenance
* Ski course safety and inspection support
* Safety awareness initiatives
* Community cleanup and stewardship projects
* Special projects and community improvement initiatives
* Youth Ambassador Leadership Team opportunities
This program is designed to provide youth with experiences that go beyond volunteer hours. Participants will have the opportunity to learn how community events come together, understand the importance of safety and stewardship, and develop skills that can support their future education and career goals.
Youth participants will receive recognition for their contributions, including documentation of completed volunteer hours and a formal letter of recommendation that can be used to support college applications, scholarship opportunities, employment opportunities, and future career prospects.
At its core, this program is about creating the next generation of community leaders — individuals who understand the value of giving back, take pride in their surroundings, and help carry forward the traditions and legacy built before them.
