WSWBC Ski Camp

Waterski and Wakeboard BC (WSWBC) will be holding a three day camp for skiers aged 19 and under at Sakinaw Lake this summer. The camp will run Jul 21-23 and will be coached by Chris Horwood, member of the Canadian National Waterski and Florida Southern Mocs Teams. Chris has competed at Worlds and is a very enthusiastic coach.

Sessions will run from approximately 8 am to 2 pm each day from the ski dock. Each skier will get three sets (one set is six passes of the course/15 minutes of trick skiing) per day. Between sets, skiers will relax and play games from the docks

The camp costs $100 per day ($300 total) and can open the door to competitions such as the BC Summer Games (held in Maple Ridge in 2024) and the Provincials (held in Kamloops this summer). If you are interested in registering, email jed@wswbc.org or call Crystal at 250-462-1428. Registration deadline is June 12 and the camp requires a minimum of eight participants to run. Full camp information is available here.

Full SLSBC memberships (family or single) include membership to WSWBC and with that access to their camps. WSWBC runs several camps throughout the summer – the full list can be seen here.

Thanks to the McGurks for hosting the AGM this weekend and thanks to everyone who attended. We are still in the process of updating our insurance, which will result in changes to our membership fees. Please hold off on purchasing memberships until we are able to update pricing. Additionally, we are now required to charge a $3 fee for any refunds that we make through the club.

SIncerely,

Your SLSBC Executive Team
